Campaign Customization Instructions

This year the Big Tiger Give, our BIG Fall Fundraiser, will take place on PTBoard.  Each student will need to personalize their own fundraising campaign page which they will share with friends and family who may consider contributing to their fundraising efforts using the guidance below. We estimate that it will take you about 5 minutes to complete this task.

Step 1. Navigate to the “campaigns” section of PTBoard by clicking on Campaigns on the far left menu.

Step 2. Once there, choose the VIEW button on the right of the BTG Campaign, and then choose “My Student Page” on the right.

Step 3. Click on “My Student Page” on the right side.

Step 4. Choose your student’s fundraising page at the top or choose “Add my student to the campaign” if they are not listed. NOTE - If 2 parents are connected to the child in PTBoard, the child will be listed twice they have the chance to customize 2 pages.  Only the parent with the login will be able to see their fundraising totals, however the PTA can see both and we will marry the totals up on the back end.

Step 5. Once you’ve navigated to your page, click the green “Manage my Fundraising Page” button on the right side.

Step 6. Choose “Add/Update Page Description”.

You should add information in the box about why you are fundraising. Why does it matter to you? And also consider adding a thank you to your donors! Whatever you write here will show up on your fundraising page, so be sure to check your spelling and grammar. There’s an example (below) but be sure to consider your own fundraising hopes instead of just pasting these.

“I am hopeful that the funds I raise will help support our athletics program and our arts programs. I really appreciate your support and thank you for helping me make the Big Tiger Give a huge success.”

Step 7. Choose “My Goals”  from that same “Manage My Fundraising Page” List.

Enter your Fundraising Goal first. How much money do you hope to raise? Each $25 donation earns you 1 chance to win the grand prize. So how many chances do you hope to earn? Letting your potential donors know how much you hope to raise will help them when considering their donation amount. Also remember that the grade level who raises the most money per student will earn a prize party!

Then set your Activity Goal. What activity do you pledge to do per $25 raised? Will you read 1 book? Do 2 cartwheels? Run 1 mile? Think about what matters to you and what challenge you’d like to set for yourself. When making this decision know that your donors would prefer to see you complete your part of the challenge for their donation when it comes in, and you can even update your page to reflect that.

Step 8. Choose “Add My Picture”  from that same “Manage My Fundraising Page” List if you would like to add a picture.

Click the “Choose File” button and navigate to the image file you’d like to use. This is completely optional, but may help your donors ensure that it’s a personal request from you!

Once you’ve completed these tasks, your campaign is ready to go! Great job! Click here to learn how to share your campaign page with your friends and family.
